I’m counting the days to the 2013 GCLSCon this year in Dallas. The local convention committee has done an amazing job getting the word out. There are more people registered than ever before!
One of the traditions of the GCLSCon is a scholarship fund that provides some financial help to readers and authors who might not otherwise be able to attend this amazing woman-strong event. Sometimes it’s a free ticket to the convention, sometimes it’s help with hotel costs or a stipend to cover meals. Every year an effort is made to use all the money and that means every year it’s time to raise money for next year.
So I’m having a sale and donating 25% of the proceeds to the GCLS Scholarship Fund to kick off fundraising for the 2014 Portland Conference.
I’ve created a special “product” at my web store to tempt you. For $40, you can choose any 4 books from my web store that are in stock. Free shipping via media mail is available for USA deliveries, and you can upgrade to faster or International delivery. If you’re attending GCLSCon in Dallas, I’ll bring them to you.
To get started, visit this page at my site for the directions to complete your order and select your books: 4 Books for $40.
Thank you for considering joining the support of other lesbians to attend this great event. Thank you also for reading this blog! As always, a “like” or “share” or “tweet” to spread the word is very much appreciated.
Don’t need any books right now? Consider donating directly to the Scholarship Fund. Any given year it could be any of us in need of a little help from our sisters.
Disclosure: I am not a member of the organization’s board, nor am I in any way financially related to it beyond the payment of my dues and sponsorship/advertising fees. I have been honored to receive several awards from GCLS but there is no relationship between past and possible future awards and my wish to show my support for the organization. This fundraising appeal is made entirely and only in my capacity as an author and member of the Society. The Golden Crown Literary Society is a 501(c)(3) organization.
