It Takes a Village
Editors turn writers into better writers, and I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best! Truth be told, I truly enjoy the editing phase because it’s a learning process on an endless loop. There’s something to be learned from every “chit chat” or “needs visual” and every removed comma. In every project an editor saves me from profound embarrassment. I once had a love affair with ellipses. You can thank editors that I got over it.
It’s made all the easier by working with people who have the same goal: make the book the best it can be. – Karin
